Am I Obese

Hey, Jim here

And here is my full review of The Diet Solution Program which promises a complete and comprehensive weight loss program that will not only help you lose body fat, but guarantees you increased energy, health and vitality all at the same time.

Note that this is a review though; click here if you’re looking for the official Diet Solution Program site.

Why did I decide to do a review on this program? Check out my About Me page to see why, but essentially the question Am I Obese? is a question that is being asked more and more and particularly from sufferers of teenage obesity. I personally feel it’s very important to find a real solution and not just another disappointment.

With so many weight loss programs out on the market and on the internet today, what makes this program any different than all the rest? I know intimately several of the ‘Best’ plans on the market today and to be truthful, they just don’t work…for most people. So, the claims on their sales page made me sit up and want to look in detail about exactly what’s on offer from The Diet Solution Program.

Before we get to the program, let’s take a look at the expert behind this program. Isabel De Los Rios is a nutrition and exercise specialist with 10 years of experience helping clients reach their ideal weight and tackle conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and high cholesterol. Isabel has a very extensive educational background in nutrition and exercise physiology.

The Diet Solution ProgramHer personal experience with her own weight struggles and her mother’s severe diabetes led her search for the BEST nutrition information available today. The Diet Solution Program is a result of her 15 year study and research.

I’ve also checked out her training and education background, and I’ll be honest, it is impressive, unlike other so-called “health experts”, who are just following main stream nutrition programs. Isabel provides her readers with the truth: the facts most people have never taken the time to research, read and decipher, in fact, it blew out a few ‘myths’ that I’ve been believing for more years than I care to remember.

Plus, Isabel has been a nutrition and exercise specialist for the past 10 years and has personally worked with hundreds of clients in her own private facility, overseeing successful weight loss programs. This hands on experience with real people solidified the facts and principles she had learned in books, journals and from other health professionals. The proof was really in the results of real people.

In fact, Isabel’s articles are pretty radical when it comes to her nutrition principles which is why her approach works when main-stream nutrition fails. So if you are looking for the same old nutrition theories taught in every other book and program on the market today, this is not the program for you. This truly is different.

Now one of the biggest questions about the program is simply, “What is The Diet Solution Program?” Well according to the website, it is the most comprehensive and detailed nutrition manual available on the market today. Not only does it teach you exactly what principles you need to follow to finally reach your ideal weight, it gives you the meal plans, shopping lists and recipes to do so. It does not push some extreme, unreasonable way to lose weight.
It actually teaches you how you can make this healthy way of eating into a lifestyle. And if you have ever attempted to lose weight in the past, you know that the only way to maintain it is to make it a way of life. The best part about this program I think is that this new way of life is not some torturous eating regime.
She really shows you that you can eat delicious food, combined the right way, to lose weight and maintain it.

One of the best side effects of the whole program it’s claimed, is the increased health and vitality that every participant experiences. This claim is supported by authenticated testimonials. Decreases in blood sugar levels, lowered cholesterol, increased energy, elimination of digestive discomfort and cleared skin conditions are just some of the few benefits other people have already experienced.

I have really struggled to find any real negatives or bad points on this review, but I’ve found that part very difficult, which is a good thing! However, let me be really clear in my observations: the program stresses that you must realize that some effort from you will be required, although all the hard work has been done for you. I completely endorse this advice or guidance. You’ve GOT to put in effort, this is not a magic pill – nothing is!

Included in her program is:

  • Step by step action steps telling you exactly how to put the principles in place
  • Detailed daily meal plans that make everyday eating easy
  • Shopping Lists to make food shopping a snap
  • Delicious Recipes to make everyday meals tasty

The downloadable manual is indeed comprehensive. Jam packed with incredible and valuable information. But you don’t need to wait to get through the whole thing before you can start. You can use the Quick Start Guide to start the program ASAP. Some people have even just used the quick start guide and lost 10-15lbs in a little as 6 weeks, it is claimed. I don’t have proof of that, but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt as everything else seems to fit.

The Diet Solution Program is not just another weight loss scheme or extreme diet. It is truly the only way to lose weight and enjoy a lifetime of health. The Diet Solution Program is perfect for people who have struggled with their weight their whole life and are sick and tired of programs that just don’t work long term. It’s suited to those that want to lose a little weight as well as those that ask the dreaded question Am I Obese. Importantly, the program answers another question too, Why Am I Obese? Knowing the answer to this question goeas a long way to fixing the problem. The DSP is also perfect for people who want to take control of their health and reverse health conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease and again I found authenticated testimonials supporting these claims.

If you’re in the slightest bit curious, I recommend you look closely at this program. I was very impressed with all of The Diet Solution Program meal plans, the bonuses, the 60 day no quibble guarantee, and Isabel De Los Rios’s expertise. For the money, I would say it’s the best deal in the weight loss industry – so much better than diet pills!

That’s it, I give this a big thumbs up and I hope the review has helped you.

The Hardest Question When Tackling Weight Loss.

Before posting my review, I thought I’d look at the hardest question an overweight person may ask themself, because highlighting this may just help.

***My Full review is now complete and can be read by clicking this link:
The Diet Solution Program Review. ***

The first thing we have to do when tackling this issue is to recognise that we have a problem.

We can all ‘reason’ with the fact that we’ve put on weight and even justify it. “It’s normal to put on a few pounds at this age…” and so on.
Justification is a traitor in these circumstances, because justification prevents you from taking responsibility for the way you are.

Answer these 4 questions honestly:
When was the last time you checked your BMI?
When did you last have a full lifestyle once-over from your doctor?
Do your clothes feel tight and uncomfortable or even not fit you at all anymore?
And lastly…when did you last look in a full-length mirror and gently jump up and down?

If you haven’t taken stock of your weight recently, then you are not alone.
This obesity epidemic is catching on, but so did the bubonic plague in London in 1665, so just because it’s a popular ‘condition’ doesn’t make it right.
You have to take stock and recognise if you are on the slippery slope towards obesity and lose weight right now.
If you find you’ve already slipped and are in fact obese, then there is no time to waste, sort it out now.
If you are recognised as being morbidly obese, then by all means consult with your medical practitioner, but understand one thing – they can’t do it for you.
Do you really want to have your gut cut open and manipulate your insides just so you can have the pleasure of eating through a straw? (If it’s too late and you MUST have this surgery according to your doctor, then I wish you well).

Am I Obese?
That question in an ideal world should never be asked, but we don’t live in an ideal world and therefore we don’t tend to listen to the signals that say we are getting overweight never mind aiming for obesity. It’s not an easy question to ask yourself, but ask yourself you must.
Look around you, look at your life, and look at your family, friends and your community.
Would they miss you if you were gone?
Now, listen up, do they miss you NOW?
Do they miss you NOW?

Are you in the game of life or has the weight-gain relegated you to the spectators bench. Just how much are you, and through you, your loved ones, missing out on?
You are either in the game or you’re not.
You are either a player or a bystander.
You will either be obese, or you will not.
It’s all down to choice, but here’s the thing-
We only choose when we are aware that there is a choice to be made. Do you see that? You need to know where you are and where you are heading. If you are healthy and not overweight, then keep going, no problem.

Are you overweight?
Are you obese?
Can you correct this damage that is piling on to your body?
Is sorting this out easy?
Look, there is only one real way to lose weight safely and that is to draw a line in the sand, say enough is enough, eat in a healthy manner and start moving on a regular basis.

“That’s easier said than done, isn’t it?” Well, that all depends entirely on what you’ve been led to believe, but that’s for another time.

For now, simply ask yourself, Am I Obese?

About Isabel De Los Rios

Hey, Jim again,

I’ll be posting my full review shortly, but just before I do, I thought you would like to know who exactly is behind what they claim to be the ‘Number 1 HONEST and ALL NATURAL diet & nutrition program on the internet’. This is what their website has to say about Isabel De Los Rios.

***My Full review is now complete and can be read by clicking this link:
The Diet Solution Program Review. ***

Isabel De Los RiosIsabel De Los Rios is a certified nutritionist and exercise specialist who has already helped over 25,000 people all over the world lose incredible amounts of weight, regain their health and permanently change their lives. She is the author of The Diet Solution Program and the Owner of New Body – Center for Fitness and Nutrition in New Jersey. She has become the #1 “go to girl” when it comes to Fat Burning Nutrition by several of the most popular fitness professionals around the globe. Isabel’s cutting edge and completely different approach to nutrition is what sets her apart from all the rest. This approach has created results for so many once frustrated dieters. Her strategies work, hands down, as long as her simple principles are followed.

Isabel is able to educate clients and readers all over the world through her books, hundreds of online articles, seminars, and the media which all focus on the essential principles of fat loss nutrition and achieving a healthy, toned and vibrant body.

Isabel graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in exercise physiology (a pre-med curriculum). She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, the highest and most advanced certification given by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is also a Holistic Nutrition Lifestyle Coach, certified by the Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology (C.H.E.K.) Institute in San Diego, California. She counsels many special populations, including diabetics, heart disease patients, cancer survivors, and overweight individuals, as well as healthy individuals who wish to maintain health and prevent disease.

Isabel De Los Rios found her passion for nutrition as a teenager. The overweight daughter and granddaughter of type 2 diabetics, Isabel was told that she was doomed to suffer from the same health problems as the generations who preceded her. Not willing to sit around waiting for this grim prediction to become a reality, she pored over every nutrition and diet book available in search of the answers to her family’s weight and health problems. This led her to personally seek out doctors and health professionals that were using nutrition to get great results (as far as health and weight loss) with their patients and clients.

She has since reached and maintained an ideal weight, is vibrantly healthy and shows no indication that conditions like diabetes will affect her as they have so many in her family. She truly enjoys a high level of wellbeing that not only surprises most people, but motivates them to achieve what Isabel has.

Well, that’s all very impressive and for anyone asking themselves the difficult but key question – ‘Am I Obese?’, and realising that they have a very real problem, this short bio will go some way towards acknowledging that this person, this ‘guide’ knows what they are talking about and may just be the answer to their dietary and lifestyle problems.

The full review will be posted as soon as possible.

Facts about Obesity

Hey, Jim here,

Lose Weight Or Lose 13 Years! – you’ve got to read this before my review of
‘The Diet Solution Program’ is completed in about a week from now.

***My Full review is now complete and can be read by clicking this link:
The Diet Solution Program Review. ***

We hear it all the time…lose weight for your health. Few people however, realize the extent to which this is critical to their physical well-being and ultimately their life expectancy.

In January 2003, (about 8 years ago) the Journal of the American Medical Association featured a study finding that obesity appears to lessen life expectancy, especially among young adults. The study showed an obese 20-year-old white male, (5’10″)178cm and weighing (288 pounds) 130kg was estimated to lose 13 years of his life as a result of obesity. Fast forward to today and the statistics are even worse!

It is now well researched that a Western diet that leads to obesity may actually act to stimulate the growth of cancer cells. It is never too late to improve your health through healthful eating and adopting a more health-giving lifestyle. Here are simple steps to follow which can make an immediate improvement to your health and vitality.

1. Check to see if you are overweight or obese.
To find out your BMI you need to divide your weight (measured in kilos) by your height (measured in metres) squared. If the result is greater than 25, your health may be improved by losing weight. You need to ask yourself, am I obese?

2. Match your diet to your body’s requirements.
If you eat and drink more calories than your body requires you will put on weight. Learn to control calories and portion sizes, make recipes leaner, and eat infrequently from fast food restaurants. Also learn how to snack with healthful choices.

3. Colour your diet with a large variety of colorful, cancer-fighting fruit and vegetables.
There are seven different color ranges of both fruit and vegetables and by choosing between 5 to 9 daily serves from a wide range of fruit and vegetables, we are extending our consumption of cancer (and other disease) fighting nutrients.

4. Eat lean protein with every meal.
Protein provides a powerful signal to the brain providing a longer sense of fullness. The right source of protein is essential to controlling your hunger with fewer calories and necessary to maintain your lean muscle mass. Choices of protein should be flavored soy shakes with fruit; the white meat of chicken and turkey, seafood such as shrimps, prawns scallops and lobster and ocean fish or vegetarians may prefer soy based meat substitutes.
After my review, it’ll be interesting to see if the advice on this alters.

5. Rev up your metabolism with activity.
If you want to enjoy a lifetime of well being, exercise is a key ingredient. Thirty minutes activity each day that takes as much effort as a brisk walk is recommended for adults. Children should be active for an hour each day.

6. Get support to ensure you develop a healthful eating plan and reach your goal weight.
A study, “Effects of Internet Behavioral Counseling on Weight Loss in Adults at Risk of Type 2 Diabetes” shows that participants who had the support of weight loss coaching lost more weight than those who didn’t. The study concluded that the support of a weight loss coach can significantly improve weight loss results.

Being overweight or obese has been identified next to smoking, as the most preventable major risk to developing cancer. Even small weight losses have been shown to have beneficial health effects. So it’s never too late to start and you can never be too young or too old to be concerned about your health and do something about achieving a more healthy weight.

If you’ve read my ‘About Me’ page, you’ll know that I’m as keen as you to see exactly what ‘The Diet Solution Program’ can or cannot deliver.

My review will be here soon, make sure to come back and find out the inside details.

Am I Obese

Hey, Jim here,

Obesity is enemy of the heart!

Over the next week or so I will be reviewing in depth ‘The Diet Solution Program’. Why?

***My Full review is now complete and can be read by clicking this link:
The Diet Solution Program Review. ***

Well, before asking yourself Am I Obese, consider this:
According to the American Heart Association (PCA), one third of children and adolescents and 66 percent of the adult population is overweight or obese. If the trend continues, there will be a reduction in life expectancy of our children, making it the first generation to live less than their parents.

Obesity in simple form is an excess of body fat. The body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference measures are most commonly used. The BMI is the ratio of weight in kilograms to height in meters measure. The normal BMI is between 18 and 24.9 kg/m2. Overweight is any measure between 25-29.9 kg/m2, and obesity a BMI greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2. The waist circumference should be <40 inches in men and <35 inches in women. Obesity is associated with the development of hypertension, stroke, blockage of the coronary arteries, diabetes, failure and heart rhythm disturbances. In young people, obesity is associated with the development of adult conditions such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes and cholesterol.

It is difficult to associate obesity a factor, as it develops a complex relationship that involves lifestyle, the environment and genetics. However, there is a causal relationship between poor nutrition and unhealthy lifestyles. The sedentary lifestyle, produced by busy lifestyles, overexposure to television, computers and video games, along with the excessive consumption of calories, breaks the balance needed to maintain a healthy weight.

Education is extremely important, particularly since early age, to establish good eating habits and healthy lifestyles.

To bring the message and awareness to the generation of young people about the importance of prevention, the American Heart Association created the Alliance for a Healthier Generation in conjunction with the foundation of former President William  Bill  Clinton.

This government initiative and whose guidelines are based on those of the Heart Association, offers a real alternative for the prevention of obesity through education and offering physical activity programs, among other things.

Obesity, together with other factors such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipedemias and smoking is a risk factor crucial to the development of cardiovascular diseases. However, contrary to other factors, obesity (next to smoking), is the most changeable of all.

By developing or modifying good nutritional habits and increasing physical activity can have a healthier life.

To this end, I am reviewing The Diet Solution Program thoroughly because if it does what is says it does, it will blow myths and common practices out of the water and replace them with the answer to our ‘safe weight-loss prayers’.

Look out for the review…
